Today was the day many had been waiting for, as BHPetrol launched the eagerly-awaited INFINITI EURO5 DIESEL in the Klang Valley, marking the first time a fuel of this grade will be sold here.

The higher-grade diesel with maximum German additives was first introduced in Johor last November, where BHPetrol became the first petroleum company to offer Euro5-grade fuel in Malaysia.

This morning’s launching ceremony, which was held at BHPetrol’s flagship station near the Sungai Besi Highway Toll in Seri Kembangan, attracted a large attendance that included members of the media, customers and invited guests, with Mr Tan Kim Thiam, Managing Director of Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd and Mr James Khoo, Retail Director of Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd officiating the ceremony.

Attendees were treated to a presentation on the benefits of Infiniti Euro5 Diesel by Mr Khoo. A key point conveyed was that the fully imported diesel is ultra clean, boasting an extremely low sulphur content of only 10ppm compared to 500ppm present in Malaysia’s current Euro2M fuel. This is a step in the right direction for reducing harmful emissions in the environment, and also for boosting the performance of modern diesel engines, which today, require higher-quality fuel to run optimally.

As such, Mr Khoo hopes that with the introduction of Infiniti Euro5 Diesel, the automotive industry will be encouraged to bring in more vehicles with advanced diesel engines to the country.

In launching Infiniti Euro5 Diesel in the Klang Valley, BHPetrol has proven once again that they are indeed the trusted leaders in fuel technology.

The new Infiniti Euro5 Diesel that’s sold at the government-regulated price of RM2.05 per litre is now available at BHPetrol Sungai Besi Highway Toll, and will be rolled out across many more selected Klang Valley stations in the coming weeks.
